Artist Statement

"In my new series, I plan to explore the topic of ecstasy in human subjects, male and female, separately and together. I feel this subject to be inextricably linked to love which I shall attempt to portray in all its physical, emotional and spiritual aspects.

"I will be seeking the 'ecstatic moment' when the world and even physical existence seem to disappear, leaving just the presence of an overwhelming joy.

"Almost by definition, that moment is 'inexpressible', so the task is not easy and, in fact, may be impossible in an absolute sense. On the other hand, this may be the only topic truly worthy of the artistic effort.

"We shall see."
